Cloud computing solutions are widely hailed as a way to reduce capital expenditures and move to an inexpensive, subscription-based IT model. However, many organisations don't stop to consider all the nuances of integrating cloud applications with their existing information systems. While deploying a cloud application or subscribing to a cloud-based service may be relatively straightforward, how will this new IT asset fit in with the rest of the enterprise, including on-premise systems and other cloud applications?
Cloud Integration Workshop Overview
Integrating with cloud-based applications represents an incremental evolution of Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) rather than a brand new paradigm, but it still requires additional analysis along with modified or new integration practices. The Cloud Integration Success Workshop examines and addresses associated challenges and appropriate solutions.
The workshop will open with a business discussion focused on the "hybrid" model of cloud with on-premise deployment, and how this relates to your own organisation. The technical part of the workshop will explore the technical requirements associated with a cloud integration strategy. To help develop these opportunities and ideas Oracle will discuss existing case studies and, if appropriate, show examples of such hybrid scenarios as our Single Customer View cloud to on-premise use case.
Key topics covered during the workshop:
-
Cloud Service & Integration Strategy
-
Cloud Integration Basics
-
Business Considerations & Trade-Offs
-
Business Overview of Cloud Integration Solutions from Oracle
Summary
This workshop will give customers an opportunity to understand and discuss the cloud integration opportunities and requirements within their own organisation. To help this discussion, an overview of the Oracle cloud integration solutions will be presented. In addition, for a more technical audience there will be the opportunity to discuss in some detail Oracle's cloud integration technologies, design, development, deployment and management.
